The CJNG began as El Chapo’s Sinaloa cartel’s military wing, but it has since broken away to become Mexico’s most powerful criminal organization. After the murder of three Jalisco film students, the group gained international attention. As the crew was leaving, their car broke down, and out of nowhere two CJNG hitmen in police uniforms appeared. The students were herded into another car by the assailants, who then drove off. A rapper named QBA, who was a rising star with up to five million views per video on YouTube at the time of his arrest, is the one who was paid to dissolve their bodies in acid.
