Panic-stricken, Karen called her son, Clint, who was still at the house. Upon discovering Holly’s car still in the driveway, Karen knew something was terribly wrong. She hung up and dialed 911.
Clint had woken up to the sound of dogs barking just minutes before his mother’s call. He went to the kitchen window and saw his sister Holly with a man in camouflage. Initially, Clint thought the man was Holly’s boyfriend, Drew Scott, who had mentioned going turkey hunting that morning. But as the truth began to unravel, the nightmare began.

The long fight for justice finally began in 2017, with the trial of Zach Adams. Jason Autry, who turned against his friend and testified against Adams, shared a harrowing account of Holly’s final moments. He claimed that Zach had called him to help dispose of Holly’s body. When they arrived at the river to dispose of her, they realized she was still alive. In a cold-blooded act, Zach shot Holly in the head, silencing her forever.
The courtroom held its breath as Autry recounted the horror Holly must have endured. As the trial progressed, the prosecution painted a grim picture of the men involved in Holly’s abduction, rape, and murder.
